Chambres mortes

2015-2019

A look into interiors of the past, which have been substantially restored or even reconstructed. These interiors are trying to bring alive the life stories of important or less important persons and periods of the past. How does the interior represent the personality and the work of these artists and writers? How was the light, the colors or the atmosphere in the past? We only knew about written descriptions, paintings and drawings and black and white photographs. These series give us an idea of how it would be in reality, without the disturbing contemporary surroundings. Work in progress.
