  • The Ghent Floralies (Floraliën Gent) is a unique exhibition of flowers and plants in historical city locations in Ghent Belgium.
Creations at 4 locations: the Bijloke site, the Leopold Barracks, Saint Peter’s Square and Citadel Park.
The organisation behind the Ghent Floralies, the Royal Society for Agriculture and Botany (KMLP), was established 207 years ago. It received its royal title thanks to King William I, King of the Netherlands, who accepted the title of patron in 1815. The very first flower and plant exhibition took place in 1809 at an inn in Ghent and has gone through a spectacular metamorphosis of growth and evolution since then. In 2016, the Ghent Floralies is leaving the Flanders Expo and returning to the city centre.
