Vincent Was Here

Vincent van Gogh spent about two years in Nuenen, near Eindhoven. Here he chose the themes which determined his later career. Karin Borghouts followed Van Gogh's footsteps from Zundert to Auvers-sur-Oise. She reconstructed and photographed also many of his still lifes. This is the sixth Vincent Was Here photo exhibition. Each one is different.
You can follow Van Gogh's life in Brabant at the brand new Van Gogh Village Museum, which opened in May. Vincent was here is the museum's first temporary exhibition.

Karin Borghouts' interest in university sites and collections dates back to 2009. At the invitation of the then librarian and photographer Benn Deceuninck (1960-2017), she had an exhibition at the Art Sciences Library in the Boekentoren in Ghent. For this project, she photographed various collections and locations at the University of Ghent.
