B30 The Hague - KAAN Architecten

2017

The governmental building B30 in The Hague was first conceived by Daniël Knuttel in 1917, and now became the new accommodation of the Dutch planning offices. The renovation and extension on the original design led by Dikkie Scipio (KAAN Architecten) is aiming to achieve an open yet monumental architecture thanks to new openings, gardens and an artistic intervention by Rob Birza on the atrium’s floor.
Karin Borghouts gives us an insight of the building which is opened in April 2017 by the Dutch King Willem-Alexander.
Commissioned assignment by KAAN Architecten.
